FYJC admission 2017-18: Deadline to pay fees extended

In a major relief for students, Maharashtra’s school education department has extended the deadline for paying fees and finalising First year junior college (FYJC Admission 2017-18) seats to July 14, till 12 noon.

As per mumbai.11thadmission.net schedule, Wednesday was the last day for payment of fees for allotted seats. But students now have been given a day’s extra time to confirm seats allotted to them in the fyjc first merit list and payment of subsequent fees. FYJC 2nd merit list date is July 20 and on that date mumbai.11thadmission.net second merit list 2017 would be released.

Students have received an SMS which states that the deadline for seat confirmation and payment of fees has been extended. The message is read as follows, “Dear candidate, as the college allotted to you was your first choice in the option form, you are requested to take admission in the allotted college before 14-07-2017, 12:05 pm.”

Due to technical problems, the fyjc mumbai first merit list was earlier to be released on Monday at 5pm, was postponed to 7pm and later shifted to after midnight. Students were finally allotted seats at 1 am on Tuesday, while colleges were able to access it only after 11 am.

Further the authorities had trouble uploading students’ information onto the mumbai.11thadmission.net portal. Problems in some colleges continued until Wednesday afternoon.

Kavita Rege, principal, Sathaye College, Vile Parle, said, “We could use the additional time to complete Std. 11 admissions. We were unable to upload data on the website till afternoon, and as a result, we could confirm only a few admissions.” This time cut-offs in Sathaye College have dropped.
