Cut Offs to remain same in mumbai.11thadmission.net FYJC Second Merit List 2017


FYJC admissions in Mumbai: Only 25% seats vacant after first round
Out of 1.59 lakh seats available in the general category, 1.19 lakh have been filled.

A list of vacant seats across various colleges was uploaded on the mumbai.11thadmission.net website so that students can make their best choices in the upcoming fyjc second round 2017.

After the release of fyjc first merit list, now only 25% seats are vacant in the first year junior college (FYJC) admissions which means there would be higher cut-offs-the minimum marks for admissions- in the fyjc second merit list 2017, to be declared on Thursday.

Out of 1.59 lakh seats available in the general category, 1.19 lakh have already been filled. Now students can check the list of vacant seats across different colleges.

The student registration link on the mumbai.11thadmission.net website was reopened in the morning for students so that they could make changes in their application forms for fyjc second round. Students can change their streams or order of preference up till July 18.

For the commerce stream due to its popularity among students, most of the reputed colleges have filled majority of their seats. For the commerce stream, only 22 seats remain at HR College, Churchgate, RA Podar has only four vacancies for the next fyjc rounds. ML Dahanukar, Vile Parle has only eight left in general category.

There are only 7 seats in arts and 41 in science at St Xavier’s Fort, while Ramnivas Ruia, Matunga has 8 and 16 seats in arts and science in the general category. VG Vaze Kelkar College, Mulund has 14 seats left each in arts and commerce, and 25 left in science.

Vidyadhar Joshi, vice-principal of the college said, “Cut-offs are soon to rise in commerce and science.” He also said that arts cut-offs will decline in the fyjc fourth merit list round, after leftover seats from reserved category will be added to the general seats. In Commerce and science streams, lot of students apply for reservation, but in arts there are only a few of them.

As mumbai.11thadmission.net portal not received any more requests from colleges to upload any marks or complete the 11th admissions, the 11th admission portal was not opened on Saturday.
