FYJC admissions in Mumbai: Students can register online from Friday

Mumbai 11th Admission registration online to class 11 or first year junior college (FYJC) in Mumbai starts Friday i.e 2nd June 2017. It is to be noted that many schools still have not received information booklets which includes the login IDs and passwords of students for fyjc online admission.

This time around 2 lakh students are gearing up for Mumbai 11th admission for 2.92 lakh seats in Maharashtra junior colleges. The Maharashtra education department conducted a trial run of the new software on Thursday and if they found it successful, the Mumbai.11thadmission.net portal will be started for students registration on Friday.

BB Chavan, deputy director of education, Mumbai division said, students can log on to the admissions portal - http.mumbai.11thadmission.net. on Thursday too to participate in the trial run of the software so that if the new software has some errors or bugs, that can be reported and corrected on time.

FYJC 11th admission Information booklets containing log in IDs and passwords to sign up on the 11th admission net portal have been distributed in schools in the Mumbai region — including Navi Mumbai, Thane, and Raigad.

A teacher from Thakur Vidyamandir School, Kandivli said, “Our staff attended the training for the 11th online admission process in Mumbai, but we haven’t got any booklets from the education department. As the students keep on asking about it, the information booklets must be provided to us on time".

The fyjc.org.in/mumbai admission portal started functioning on May 2 last year but this time, the Mumbai 11th admission registration has been delayed by a month's time as this time a new agency has been handed over the full control for 11th admission Mumbai. This time a company named Nysa Asia, located in Noida has been given the task to conduct the whole fyjc 11th online admission from the previous partner Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL).

As per the new rules for Mumbai.11thadmission.net, students can apply only to one stream and list a minimum of 1 to 10 preferred colleges. A student can change the order of preferences or stream as per the availability of seats within the stipulated time for each round. Preferences listed for earlier round will be considered if any student does not change preferences.
