FYJC Mumbai 11th Admission net portal opens
Admissions to the Maharashtra state-board affiliated, first year and second year junior college admissions (Class 11 and 12 Std.), will be delayed by a few weeks. The Maharashtra education department is running behind schedule due to the 11th Std admission process undergoing a big change so the 11th admission in Mumbai are likely to commence around the begining of June. The 11th online admissions started on May 9 last year.
As per government resolution dated January 23, the new FYJC 11th admission 2017 process was to start earlier than usual and wrap up by September 1. But the education department has not yet finalised the Mumbai 11th admission net timetable and publish only the 11th FYJC admission instructions manual. The 11th Standard fyjc admission timetable is to be announced next week.
Students can sign up on the 11th admission .net portal or read the FYJC instructions manual before Maharashtra SSC Results 2017 are announced. ICSE Results 2017 and CBSE 10th Result 2017 would be announced around the end of May while Maharashtra SSC 2017 results would be released in early June. Principals of various junior colleges said that it is important that students and teachers must get ample time to understand the new process so that they do not make mistakes in filing their 11th admission applications. Vidyadhar Joshi, vice-principal, Vaze-Kelkar College, Mulund said, “We encourage students to register on the 11th admission .net portal in advance and read the manual multiple times so that they can understand the process”. He added the entire fyjc Mumbai 11th admission .net procedure is new, and even teachers need some time to go through it so that they can guide students better.
Education officials said the delay is due to the new fyjc Mumbai 11th admission process and change in the nodal agency that have held the 11th admission every year. BB Chavan, deputy director of education, Mumbai region said, “The whole process is being revamped. The admission process is going to be more student-friendly and flexible”.
In 2016, many colleges had taken part in the admission process but this time the numbers would be higher as the entire 11th admission .net Mumbai process will be held online. That is why the board took a longer time to register the colleges. He said, “We were forced to extend registration as many institutions did not turn up even after multiple reminders,” and presently the education department is verifying the registrations. The 11th admission net portal will be soon opened to the students after the verification is completed.
