FYJC Mumbai: Commerce, Science Cut-offs Down in 2nd merit list


The Maharashtra state’s education department have released the second fyjc list for admissions to first year junior college (FYJC-fyjc.org.in) at 12pm on Thursday, five hours ahead of scheduled time

To the surprise for everybody Arts cut off went high but Cut-offs for commerce and science declined in most of the colleges. At Vaze Kelkar College, Mulund, the cut-off for arts increased by 8 marks to 85.6%, in commerce down by just one mark to 89.4% and Science cut off was also down by 6 marks to 91.4%.

Vidyadhar Joshi, vice- principal said, “As only few seats are vacant for Commerce and Arts, we expected high cut-offs for these streams.”

NM College, Vile Parle commerce cut-off was down by one mark to 91.6%. In Jai Hind College, Churchgate, commerce and arts cut off decreased by 0.2% and 0.8%. Commerce cut off is 89.2%, arts is 87.8% but science was down to 81.6%. Ashok Wadia, principal said, “We got several high scorers in commerce and arts. Highest score in arts is 93.8%.”

FYJC Std. 11th Admission schedule 2017-18

-Three days time for payment of fees from July 21 and 24 excluding Sunday.

-If either you are not happy with the college allotted or have not been even listed, there's another chance coming to change college preferences or streams on July 26 and 27.

-A third fyjc merit list will be declared on July 29 at 5pm. Payment of fees is to be done between July 31 and August 1. Changes to application form can be made on August 3 and 4.

-On August 6, the fourth and final merit list will be announced at 5pm, pay full fees between August 7 and 8.

-FYJC Std. 11th  classes start on August 9.
