Second FYJC Merit List on 4th July for Pune and Mumbai

First FYJC merit list of the First Year Junior College (FYJC) online admissions in Mumbai was released on June 27, Monday. Out of 2,22,622 students who applied for the fyjc online registration process, a total of 1,84,977 students have been allotted seats in the first fyjc merit list.

Year by year, the competition is getting fierce to get a seat in junior colleges in Mumbai and Metropolitan areas. Mumbai's popular colleges cut-offs were above 90 percent in the first fyjc merit list. These fyjc cutoffs for colleges have increased marginally  from the previous academic year.

Students can expect the seats to be filled at most popular Mumbai colleges when the second merit list is released on 4th July.

Statistics of the FYJC First Merit List 2016:

A total of 47,648 students allotted colleges of their first choice
22,348 students allotted their second choice college
16,007 students got their third preferred college.

Students need to confirm admission by paying Rs 50 on allotted seats or they can wait for betterment option in the second fyjc merit list on 4th July.

Dr. Tushar Joshi, principal of the D G Ruparel College, said, "There is a little increase in the cut-off compared to previous year. The competition is almost the same, a little upward though. By the releae of fyjc second merit list, the seats of popular colleges will be filled.”

Dr. Manju Nichani, principal of K C College, said, “The competition is getting tough as year by year passes.When the second fyjc merit list 2016 is released, there will be clear picture.”
