FYJC Offline Admissions Starts 17th July, Over 74000 Seats still vacant

The final merit list was released on Tuesday for the online junior college admissions. 27,945 students have been allocated seats in this third round of fyjc online admissions. But still after three successful rounds of releasing merit lists for online admissions, 74,109 seats in all three streams are vacant and cut-offs have dropped marginally in Mumbai colleges. Its an increase of 14000 seats left vacant as was in the year 2013. As all students wants to get admissions in top junior colleges as well as nearby colleges to their home and many of class X students are looking forward to vocational courses, many of the colleges have much seats left after the online admissions. Despite huge demand of seats in commerce colleges, surprisingly over 35,000 Commerce seats are still vacant. If you look at the stats after the three merit lists , 214 students are still don't have a seat out of the 2.03 lakh students applying for junior college admissions online. These left out students need not worry as they can approach individual colleges for offline admissions after July 17.

At HR College, the cut-off of commerce stream dropped from 91.2% to 91% whereas the commerce cut-offs were down by 0.6% at Jai Hind and NM colleges. At Ruia and Ruparel colleges, the science cut-offs dropped 0.2%. KJ Somaiya college the cut-offs dropped from 58.2% to 38%, and at St Andrew's colleges, from 63.8% to 49.8%.
