FYJC Cultural quota certificate authentication not required

There is no need for the Students to get an authentication from the directorate of art and cultures who are applying online for admission to the first year junior colleges (FYJC) under the cultural quota. For verification purposes, the students only need to visit the deputy director of education's office.

The directorate of art and culture has provided to the deputy director a soft copy of the students who have excelled in music, dance or theatre by state-approved institutions or in competitions it conducted. Some of the students also includes students who have received state, national or international film awards.

This was only till last year that there was a need to for students to get their certificates verified by the competent authority in the directorate of art and culture's office. Some other new things have changed this year as students can start filling the option form, which is part two of the online application process for admissions. In the year 2013, the form could be filled only after announcement of SSC result. So, students need to see these developments.
